Happy New Year! It looks like 2009 is going to be a great year for shooting in Alabama. There have been many new clubs added and the calendar is quickly filling! It is hard to believe the new shooting year is already here. Taylor Creek is starting the shooting year off with their Registered Shoot this Saturday January 10, 2009. This is their first N.S.C.A. shoot, so make sure to support them.
First, H.O.A. and ties will receive a punch if there are 10+ shooters in the event. However, this is not in addition to class punches. The second part of the punch changes has been the number of participants in a class to receive a punch. In the past 5 shooters were needed for 1st in class to get a punch. Now only 3 shooters are need in a class for 1st to receive a punch. So, 3-9 participants, 1st place in class & ties receives a punch. For complete punch details for 2009 click here. Another change has been in entry fees. Clubs must now charge the non-NSCA participants the same as N.S.C.A. participants. Basically it will now cost the same to shoot hunter class as it will to shoot in N.S.C.A. class. BamaClays has launched a new talk board, the BamaClays Message Board. This is a place to give shooters a voice and ranges a central place to post. There are areas to let you vote on the 2009 state shoot, sell your items, talk about your last outing and much more...with your input. Make sure to keep checking the calendar for the most up-to-date event happenings in Alabama. |
